This large retail and garden center is home to acres of display gardens including this Habitat Garden. Proudly recognized by the National Wildlife Foundation, this garden incorporates the 5 necessary elements of habitat: food, water, cover, and places to raise young.
The goal here was to recreate native plant communities, in an effort to restore habitat & ecological balance. Thanks to Gardener’s Supply for promoting this practice, wildlife can exist within these communities.
The added variety of foliage, color, structure and seasonal interest provide not only the elements of habitat, but also the visual interest and design.
